The patened RWM "Kingpinless" caster rig is the first

WHY KINGPIN CASTER RIGS FAIL:
When a kingpin caster rig is subjected to a direct load force, because of the offset lead on casters, all the load is supported on the rear portion of the bearing raceway. When this caster encounters an obstruction such as a door sill, the thrust forces cause front portion of the raceway to want to tear away from the yoke. The only element holding the rig together is the kingpin. The tremendous pressure on the kingpin eventually forces it to stretch, bend, or break, leaving the caster inoperative.
WHY "KINGPINLESS" RIGS WORK:
The unique patented design offered in the
RWM "Kingpinless" rig provides customers with
a superior caster. If you look at the cross section of the
swivel area, note how the ball bearings are encapsulated
in the offset raceway. When a load is placed on the caster,
the load force is initially transmitted to the rear bearings.
Having the ball bearings ride on an incline, they will want
to climb that incline. As this action takes place, part of
the load is shifted around to the forward bearing surface.
